Today is DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman‍‍`s birthday

Every member of the police has to fulfill professional responsibilities by overcoming social, political, personal, family and conscience responsibilities. At the same time, one has to be a humanitarian police officer by performing conscientious duties outside of professional duties. Sometimes the happiness of personal life has to be lost in order to achieve it. Of course, the happiness of one's life can be found in keeping someone good. Just such a police officer Habibur Rahman BPM (bar), PPM (bar).

Additional IGP of Bangladesh Police Habibur Rahman is currently serving as Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). This senior police officer holds many responsible positions but also keeps an eye on those who are the lowest. Today (22-04-2024) is the birthday of this humane police officer who represented the police force with his talent, labor and wisdom.

On the occasion of his birthday, people from different walks of life, including the residents of Dhaka metropolis, wished him a happy birthday by referring to the symbol of trust and security of Dhaka through social media including Facebook.

Thanks to this humanitarian, the life quality of a neglected community has changed. The existence of a certain nationality is manifested in the new joy of living. It is only because of his dedicated efforts that the neglected and isolated communities of the society Hijras and Vedic communities are getting all the civic benefits today. A large part of this population can introduce themselves by puffing their chests. He has done this difficult work through Uttaran Foundation which is established for humanitarian purposes only with humanitarian considerations and the hope of changing the society.

The police force has responsibilities beyond professional duties; If someone has the mindset to fulfill that responsibility. And Habibur Rahman with that mindset built the Bangladesh Police Liberation War Museum under his own supervision to spread the glorious history of the liberation war from generation to generation.

The living legend of the Bangladesh Police Force, Habibur Rahman, known as the hero of the police force, was born on January 1, 1967 in Chandradighlia village of Gopalganj. This officer of 17th BCS has previously served as Superintendent of Police of Dhaka District.

He joined Dhaka range as DIG after serving as Additional DIG at Police Headquarters. After serving as DIG, he served as Additional IGP as Tourist Police Chief.
